        • Windows 8

        • Windows 8

Windows 8 was released end of October 2012. Already 4 months later Computer Profile zooms in. How successful is Windows 8 today? And is the use of Windows 8 comparable with the use of Windows 7 in the first four months after the introduction?

The past four months, Computer Profile asked 2.900 organizations in the Benelux about their use of operating systems. 2.2 % stated that one or more systems are working on Windows 8. The differences between Belgium & Luxembourg (2.1 %) and the Netherlands (2.3 %) are minimal. We can say that the introduction of Windows 8 is starting slowly, when we compare this to the introduction of Windows 7. Almost 6 % used Windows 7 in the first four months after its introduction.

        • Telco presence at Multinationals

Specifically for organizations at the Multinationals & Fortune 500 segment, Computer Profile inventoried which telco’s are most common. Therefor Computer Profile checked  the provider of the connections for fixed telephony and the providers of Wide Area Network connections. Because local markets in this area are often lead by specific local (traditionally national) service providers, the results for the BeLux and the Netherlands are separated.
